Conductivity measurement provides insight into the fluid's ability to conduct electric current. This is important in liquids where low conductivity can lead to electrostatic build-up, hence sparking and risk of explosion.
The sample is analyzed by passing a weak current through the liquid and measuring the resistance. The result is displayed in pS/m or µS/m.
The customer will be notified if the fluid meets the requirements for safe operation, especially in high-speed systems with low polar liquids.
