Cloud point is the temperature at which paraffins begin to crystallize and make the liquid cloudy – often the first sign that the fuel will start to clog filters. This is important when using diesel in cold environments.

The sample is cooled under controlled conditions until it becomes cloudy. The temperature is recorded as the cloud point.

The result gives the customer the opportunity to assess storage temperature, additive use and operational reliability at low temperatures.
