Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP)

CFPP shows the lowest temperature at which diesel can still pass through a standard filter. It is a practical test to assess the risk of downtime due to wax precipitation in cold climates.

The sample is cooled, and it is measured whether the liquid can still be pumped through a filter with a defined pore size.

The result helps the customer assess the suitability of fuel for winter use, and whether additives should be used to improve cold flow properties.
