The Copper Strip Test assesses the corrosivity of fuels and oils. A copper strip is immersed in the sample at high temperature, and any discoloration indicates corrosion potential.
The result is compared visually with a reference scale.
The customer receives a clear warning if the product can damage copper-containing components, and if it should be cleaned or replaced.
