When a sample is submitted without a known origin or specification, unknown oil analysis is used to determine the type and properties – such as base oil, viscosity, additive profile and FTIR fingerprint.
This makes it possible to find the correct fill oil, troubleshoot system anomalies or document contents.
The customer receives a full report describing the oil type and providing recommendations for further use or replacement.
