XRF (X-ray fluorescence) is used to identify elements in samples that cannot be analyzed with traditional elemental analysis, such as solid deposits or particles.

The sample is irradiated with X-rays, and the detection system registers which elements emit characteristic radiation.

The result provides the customer with information about the material composition of unknown particles – for example, whether a piece of metal originates from a bearing, a gear or a gasket.
